Yom HaAtzmaut: Observed on the fifth day of the Hebrew month of Iyar, this marks the Independence of Israel. It is celebrated by singing, dancing, fireworks, and merrymaking. It is also a custom to honor Israeli citizens with notable contribution who have worked for a cause.

Second Passover: This falls on the fourteenth day of the month of Iyar according to the Hebrew calendar. It is a minor holiday. It has lost much of its significance over time and now remains to be observed only by the conservative and orthodox Jews.

Lag B'Omer: Celebrated on the 18th day of the Hebrew month of Iyar, Lag B’Omer is the end of the mourning period of Omer. Omer is the beginning of a period of forty nine days when a sacrifice of barley or wheat is made to prepare counting the days for the coming of Torah. This festival is commemorated with gaiety, weddings, picnics, social gatherings, fun and merriment.

Yom Yerushalayim: It is a National Holiday in Israel. This is also known as Jerusalem Day. It is celebrated with State ceremonies, parades, honoring the soldiers, and participating in prayer services.

Shavuot: This is a minor religious observance that marks the revelation at Sinai. It is believed that on this day God gave the Torah, the central idea behind Jewish teachings. Observances include reading Torah, eating dairy products and reciting the Book of Ruth.

17th of Tammuz: It is a minor fast day. On this day, Jewish people fast from dawn till dusk to mourn the destruction of Jewish Temples.

Tish'a B'Av: Observed on the ninth day of the month of Tisha, according to the Hebrew calendar, Tish’aB’Av is a fast that honors all the tragedies that were inflicted on the Jews. This includes the destruction of The First and The Second Temples.

Rosh Hashanah: This is the beginning of the Jewish New Year and is celebrated with a two day festival where greetings of "Shanah Tovah” fill the air with the festive charm. Traditional customs like sounding shofar (horn) and eating symbolic food are observed.

Gedaliah: It is a minor Jewish fast day to commemorate the assassination of the Judah Governor Gedaliah and the consequent destruction of the First Temple.

Yom Kippur: It is considered the holiest day of the Jews. Jewish people believe that God decides upon the fate of Man on the New Year’s Day – those who have repented for their sins are shown mercy and are blessed with happiness ahead. This day is commemorated by fasting, holding prayers and repenting for sins.

Sukkot: This is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei. Pilgrimage to the Temple In Jerusalem is considered a mandate.

Hoshanah Rabbah: Congregated prayers are held on the twenty-first day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei and it is known as Hoshanah Rabbah.

Shemini Atzeret: Jews pray for the rains on the twenty-second day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei and it is known as Shemini Atzeret.

Simchat Torah: This marks the end of the time of the year when Jews participate in public Torah Readings.

Hanukkah: Commencing on the 25th of the Jewish month of Kislev, this is also known as the festival of lights. It celebrates the rededication of Jewish Temple following the victory of the Jews. Customary mandate include lighting the Hanukkiyah lamp as a mark of the victory.

Tevet 10: This fast marks the day Jerusalem withstood siege leading to the destruction of the First Temple of Judah.
